Alexander Tabibi, M.D.
Chief Executive Officer

Alex came to Perks as CEO after years of closely following the company’s advances.

Alex’s interest stemmed from his position as President of ZCapital - a privately held investment firm based in Los Angeles that specializes in technology companies that use new mediums to deliver a range of new services. Having seen the success and failure of many companies based on the motivation and knowledge base of the employees and VAR’s of these products and services – the web seemed to make a unified motivation portal the most efficacious and the most cost-efficient methodology for delivering real-time incentives.

He has brought to Perks many years of experience closely dealing with issues arising in technology companies – from HR to marketing and beyond. His knowledge of call centers through his earlier ventures has also been an invaluable asset – allowing our company an inside view. Moreover – his insistence on internationalization of our catalogue has been extremely beneficial as our clients have requested the ability to expand into other countries where their people and resellers have previously been unable to participate in incentive programs.

Alex is a Board Certified physician – trained in Oncology. He attended the UCLA undergraduate program, USC Medical School where he graduated with Highest Distinction and subsequently attended Cedars Sinai Medical Center for residency and fellowship. His scientific background and interest in the fundamental principles of the psychological aspects of rewards on behaviors has been influential on our platform: the "Science of Motivation".

Carlo Tabibi
President

Carlo serves as President of Perks and also unofficial legal counsel.

Carlo attended the University of Southern California School of Business and subsequently studied law at Loyola in Los Angeles.

Carlo has served previously as legal and financial counsel, and board member to a slew of Los Angeles based technology companies. He has brought to the company the financial restraint missing from so many companies while implementing with the technology team one of the most robust and comprehensive billing solutions in the incentive space.

From p.o. systems – to automatic invoice generation and reconciling the millions of dollars of products purchased and delivered monthly – Carlo's team and technology under his teams supervision - Carlo responsible for all aspects of the financial operations of Perks.

Jeff Ford
Chief Financial Officer

As co-founder of Perks, Jeff Ford brings 12 years of experience in both IT and Financial Reporting. He was and still remains the primary architect of the Perks online incentive engine. He was previously a Web Developer for an internet start-up where he cut his teeth in the world according to Microsoft and he created and maintained an online ecommerce website. Prior to his involvement in Al Gore’s internet age, he was a controller for a multi-divisional distribution and warehousing company in Little Rock, AR. He has a BBA degree from the University of Central Arkansas where he majored in Accounting.

Steve Timmerman
VP of Business Development

Steve Timmerman is a co-founder of Perks and oversees all sales and marketing functions. He possesses 24-years of experience building businesses ranging from internet start-up to multi-billion dollar manufacturer. He was previously Vice President of Marketing for Electrolux, LLC were he oversaw management of the company’s 75 year-old brand for its’ legendary canister vacuum. He also oversaw the development of scores of sales incentive programs for the company’s 10,000 member sales force. Steve Timmerman previously held the post of President of Oreck Corporation’s licensed retail division, where he lead the development of hundreds of Oreck Floor Care Centers throughout North America. Steve Timmerman developed ongoing dealer incentive programs for this network, driving record sales of the Oreck’s famous 8 lb. lightweight vacuum. Previous to that Steve Timmerman was Vice President of Sales for Pace Analytical, a national network of commercial Environmental Laboratories. Previously he oversaw laboratory operations for Texasgulf Chemicals. He holds a B.S. in Environmental Chemistry from Lehigh University and an M.B.A. from Columbia University in New York.
